Transmission Network Product Manager – Gaborone, Botswana

About the role

We are looking for a Transmission Network Product Manager to shape the commercial strategy, product positioning and technical sales of optical transport solutions across Botswana. The role owns end‑to‑end product management for DWDM, OTN, POTN and SDN technologies, working closely with telecom operators and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead solution design, technical presentations and commercial strategy for DWDM, OTN, POTN and SDN solutions.
• Drive RFX tender submissions, manage bids and defend technical architectures for major telecom operators.
• Develop business cases, pricing models and value propositions for enterprise private line and transport networks.
• Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to inform product positioning.
• Collaborate with account teams and engineering to ensure alignment on network delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum five years of experience in optical transmission product management, technical pre‑sales or solution architecture.
• Proven track record of leading RFX bid management and technical defenses in telecom operator tenders.
• Ability to work independently and influence cross‑functional teams.
