Chief Technology & Information Officer (CTIO)

About the role

The Chief Technology & Information Officer (CTIO) will join the Executive Team of BTC and provide strategic leadership for technology, network and IT, driving the company’s digital transformation and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute an integrated technology, network and IT strategy aligned with business growth and digital transformation ambitions.
• Lead the design, deployment, optimisation and evolution of fixed, mobile, broadband and data infrastructure, including transition to next‑generation technologies.
• Drive modernisation of enterprise IT, OSS/BSS, cloud and digital platforms to improve agility, customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Ensure world‑class network and IT availability, performance, scalability and quality of service.
• Provide executive oversight of cybersecurity, technology risk, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Identify and leverage emerging technologies such as 5G, IoT, cloud, automation and software‑defined solutions.
• Oversee technology CAPEX and OPEX, ensuring disciplined investment prioritisation and measurable returns.
• Maintain strong technology governance, architecture, controls and regulatory compliance.
• Build and manage high‑value relationships with global technology partners and vendors.
• Lead, develop and inspire high‑performing technology, network, IT and security teams.

Required profile

• Senior executive with extensive experience in telecom or large‑scale IT leadership.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale technology transformation and commercial value.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work with board, regulators and strategic partners.
