Customer Sales and Service Representative

About the role

The Customer Sales and Service Representative will actively promote and sell parts, tools, and services to Sandvik’s mining customers while ensuring minimal machine downtime. The role combines sales outreach, order processing, and technical support to meet customer needs and drive market share growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide product information and resolve customer queries following Sandvik procedures.
• Promote and sell parts and services, including cold‑calling for customer retention.
• Identify sales opportunities, convert quotations into orders, and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Process customer orders promptly, expedite deliveries, and track order status.
• Answer inbound calls within service‑level targets and maintain proactive follow‑up activity.
• Generate back‑order reports, resolve system or order issues, and keep customers informed.
• Escalate critical orders to logistics and technical teams and communicate progress to customers.

Required profile

• Diploma in Accounting, Business Management, Sales, Marketing or equivalent.
• 2‑5 years experience in a customer call‑centre sales environment.
• Strong professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to influence stakeholders positively.
• Effective time‑management, prioritisation, and multitasking in a high‑volume setting.
• Flexibility, self‑motivation, and willingness to adapt to new systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Valid driver’s licence.
