DHIS2 Developer (Supply Chain)

About the role

Palladium is seeking a skilled DHIS2 Developer to design, build, and maintain supply chain information systems that support Botswana's health ministry. The role focuses on creating digital solutions that improve logistics data, commodity visibility, forecasting, and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, develop and maintain DHIS2 applications for supply chain management.
• Create and customize metadata, Tracker programs, Event Capture, datasets, indicators, dashboards, reports and analytics.
• Build APIs and integrate DHIS2 with eLMIS, ERP, warehouse management and other health information platforms.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for forecasting, inventory management and performance monitoring.
• Support data migration, testing, deployment, user training and production support.
• Troubleshoot system issues, optimise performance and produce technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with interoperability standards and data security requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Health Informatics or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on DHIS2 development experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.

Required skills

• DHIS2 Tracker, Event Capture, metadata configuration, dashboards, indicators, analytics and reporting.
• Java, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, Git, HTML/CSS, PostgreSQL.
• Experience integrating DHIS2 with eLMIS, ERP or other health information systems (highly desirable).
