Mining Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mining Engineer to oversee daily underground mining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with schedules and standards. The role will coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to drive production performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight, planning and coordination of daily mining activities.
• Enforce mine schedule compliance and improve development and stoping outputs.
• Ensure all mining work follows approved designs, specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor contractor performance on quality, schedule, cost and claim validation.
• Interface with internal departments and external contractors on cost control, performance, progress measurement and reporting.
• Supply operational input to schedules, technical designs and short‑, medium‑ and long‑term mine planning.
• Guarantee compliance with legal requirements, statutory obligations and MMG Khoemacau procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of underground mining experience in both operational and technical environments.
• Valid underground blasting licence.
• Proven experience in contractor management, coordination and performance monitoring.
