Project Coordinator – Mining Expansion Projects

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead the delivery of expansion projects at MMG‑Khoemacau, covering both feasibility study and construction phases. The role ensures projects are executed on time, within budget and to MMG standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project progress and coordinate team members to keep workflow on track.
• Support project control activities and maintain up‑to‑date project documentation.
• Maintain task cards for sub‑projects, update expenditures, and calculate project CPI and SPI to identify deviations.
• Identify key issues during execution and provide supervisory guidance.
• Manage the risk register, update new risks, and lead regular risk‑review meetings.
• Facilitate communication between the project team, senior authorities and third parties.
• Prepare project reports, organise meetings and present status, problems and solutions.
• Conduct project audit/review and deliver close‑out audit upon completion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in economics (master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in the mining industry.
• Strong understanding of feasibility study compilation.
• Experience working in multicultural, multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, valuation and business case assessment.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.
