About the role
The Reliability Coordinator will lead the implementation of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programmes across critical plant assets. You will provide specialist technical support to identify developing equipment defects before they cause functional failure, improving overall equipment health, availability and asset performance.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programmes for critical equipment.
- Perform and interpret vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic inspections and other monitoring techniques.
- Carry out precision maintenance tasks such as shaft alignment and machinery condition assessments.
- Define monitoring routes, frequencies, alarm limits and inspection requirements based on equipment criticality.
- Analyse condition trends, generate reports and recommend actions to Maintenance and Operations teams.
- Track identified defects through the work management system until closure.
- Support root‑cause analyses, failure investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with planners to translate monitoring findings into scheduled maintenance work.
- Monitor repeat failures, identify bad actors and drive reliability improvement initiatives.
- Manage external NDT and specialist service providers when internal capability is lacking.
- Maintain calibration of monitoring instruments and ensure accurate equipment history records.
- Develop and report reliability KPIs, and mentor technicians in condition‑monitoring practices.
Required profile
- Proven experience in reliability engineering or maintenance reliability within an industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of condition‑monitoring principles and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and communicate findings clearly.
- Experience working with cross‑functional maintenance and operations teams.
- Capability to coach and mentor technical staff.
