Tswana Language Data Annotation Analyst (Remote)

About the role

iMerit is looking for a detail‑oriented Tswana Language Expert to join its global remote team as a Gen AI Data Annotation Analyst. You will create high‑quality annotated datasets that power cutting‑edge generative AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Annotate text, audio transcripts and images in Tswana according to strict project guidelines.
• Generate accurate training data and handle ambiguous scenarios with critical thinking.
• Safely manage PII data, including content that may be NSFW.
• Identify and report tool bugs or improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with language leads, project managers and technical teams to maintain quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years of experience in data annotation, linguistic data handling or related AI/ML projects.
• Strong reading comprehension in Tswana (CEFR B2 or higher).
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and adapt to fast‑changing project directions.
• Experience with large‑language‑model training data is a plus.
