Warehouse Operator – Mining & Rock Solutions

About the role

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is seeking a Warehouse Operator to manage material flow at its Gaborone location and associated mining sites in Botswana. The role ensures efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of supplies supporting mining and rock excavation operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage, and shipment of materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare and coordinate shipping and receiving schedules to control the flow of goods.
• Regulate warehouse space, ensuring optimal utilization and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Audit goods received and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Develop and improve warehouse processes using Lean methodology.

Required profile

• BGCSE and a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience in warehousing and inventory control, preferably in a mining environment.
• Valid Class B driver’s licence.
• Forklift licence.
• Alignment with Sandvik’s value system.
