Water Services Supervisor

About the role

The Water Services Supervisor will lead the technical and operational management of the water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring reliable supply, safety and compliance with local regulations. This role oversees daily operations, maintenance and project support for raw water, potable water treatment, dewatering and wastewater systems.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of potable water, process water, dewatering installations and wastewater management.
• Monitor and control water quality in line with MMG and Botswana standards, ensuring timely testing and reporting.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and maintain pumps, pipelines, tanks, valves and related water infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with the Botswana MQWM Act for water services operations, maintenance and supervision.
• Manage contractors and third‑party service providers involved in water services.
• Organise and control disposal of hazardous wastes generated by the wastewater treatment plant.
• Support project teams during installation and commissioning of new water infrastructure.

Required profile

• Diploma in Water Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in water and wastewater treatment, including at least 3 years in operations/maintenance.
• Registration with ERB is an advantage.
