Assistant Finance Manager – Gaborone, Botswana

About the role

AVI International, a division of AVI Limited, is expanding its presence in Sub‑Saharan Africa and seeks a motivated Assistant Finance Manager to join the team in Gaborone. You will ensure financial documentation and system information are accurate, up‑to‑date, and compliant with regulatory and internal requirements while supporting the Finance Shared Services hub.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain supplier accounts, follow up on invoices, credit notes and resolve queries.
• Ensure all payments are recorded correctly in SAP and update supplier balances.
• Prepare detailed monthly management reports and financial analysis for sales, marketing, operations and logistics.
• Participate in the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts.
• Perform month‑end cut‑off procedures in line with AVI Group standards.
• Review vendor reconciliations, validate invoices and manage the filing of supporting documents.
• Coordinate documentation flow between Finance Shared Services and local vendors.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting or finance qualification.
• Experience in supplier account management and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external suppliers.
