Client Partner – Retainer Sales Lead

About the role

Data Sentinels is seeking a Client Partner to own and grow its retainer sales business in Botswana. You will be responsible for building a pipeline of senior‑level prospects, conducting discovery conversations, and closing retainer agreements that support digital transformation and AI advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify leads by targeting senior decision‑makers at organisations that match our client profile.
  • Lead first‑meeting discovery calls to uncover transformation challenges and position our retainer offering.
  • Coordinate proposal development with the CEO and shepherd opportunities from proposal to signed contract.
  • Negotiate terms, finalize contracts, and secure retainer agreements.
  • Maintain a clean, up‑to‑date CRM pipeline with accurate stage, value, and next‑action details.
  • Provide market intelligence on pricing, competition, and client needs.

Required profile

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in Botswana, selling professional services, enterprise software, or consulting.
  • Established network of senior executives (GMs, CEOs, Heads of Operations/Transformation) in Botswana.
  • Proven ability to secure meetings with senior leaders through cold outreach.
  • Comfortable discussing digital transformation, AI, and operational improvement at a strategic level.
  • Highly disciplined in activity tracking and follow‑up without reliance on marketing leads.
  • Excellent written English for WhatsApp, email, and LinkedIn communication.
  • Own reliable transport for client visits in Gaborone and surrounding areas.
