Communications, Innovation and Multimedia Specialist

About the role

UNDP Botswana is looking for a Communications, Innovation & Multimedia Specialist to lead storytelling, digital engagement and innovative communication strategies that highlight development results and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement country‑level communication strategies and advocacy campaigns.
• Create and manage multimedia content (articles, blogs, videos, infographics) for the website and social media platforms.
• Ensure brand consistency and compliance with UNDP communication standards while maintaining digital asset libraries.
• Coordinate with programme, operations and external partners to strengthen communication delivery.
• Produce knowledge products, run storytelling workshops and manage editorial calendars.
• Identify and deploy digital and AI‑driven solutions for data visualisation, media monitoring and sentiment analysis.
• Design creative assets such as infographics and social media visuals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in communications, digital media or related areas, preferably with international exposure.
• Fluent English.
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is an asset.
