Data Capture Clerk (Geological Data)

About the role
The Data Capture Clerk is responsible for accurately entering and maintaining all geological data generated by the exploration team. This role ensures the Geobank database remains up‑to‑date, reliable and readily accessible for geologists.
Key responsibilities
- Enter borehole logs, sampling ledgers, survey information, and drilling rig utilisation data into the Geobank database.
- Rename, save and archive core‑photos on the server, maintaining a clear record.
- Receive, file, retrieve and manage all paper logs.
- Maintain the sampling ledger and support site quality control and quality assurance of sampling processes.
- Liaise with project geologists and assistants to validate data, resolve anomalies and make corrections.
- Perform routine administrative tasks such as inventory management, purchase requisitions and performance board updates.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with SHEC regulations by providing relevant data and reports.
Required profile
- BGCSE certificate.
- Certificate in archives and records, computer science or information technology is an advantage.
- Minimum two years experience in an exploration or mining environment preferred.
Required skills
- Data entry and database management (Geobank).
- Record keeping and archiving of geological documents.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with information‑technology tools.
