Desk Side Support Field Engineer

About the role

NSC Global is seeking a Desk Side Support Field Engineer to provide on‑site desktop support for its enterprise clients. The role involves installing, upgrading, troubleshooting and maintaining Windows, macOS and iOS devices, as well as associated peripherals, to ensure reliable daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, upgrade and support Windows OS, Microsoft Office, macOS, iPhones, iPads and authorized desktop applications.
• Configure, maintain and repair printers, computer hardware and other peripheral equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on computers, laptops, printers and related devices.
• Customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards.
• Package equipment safely for transport and manage inventory of spare parts.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and restore service for terminal services clients, PCs and notebooks with network access.
• Escalate complex issues to Tier 3 support when necessary.
• Document repairs, track parts usage and maintain accurate service records.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a related field or 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of desktop support concepts, practices and procedures.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and execute tasks independently.
• Creative problem‑solving skills and a high degree of latitude in decision‑making.
