Digital & Social Media Officer

About the role

The Digital & Social Media Officer will manage MMG Khoemacau’s digital presence, creating and curating content that supports the company’s brand, transparency, and stakeholder engagement across online channels.

Key responsibilities

• Align digital and stakeholder engagement strategies with organisational goals, brand identity and corporate responsibility priorities.
• Create, curate and schedule engaging multimedia content (videos, graphics, posts) for platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and the corporate website.
• Use Content Management Systems and social‑media management tools to produce and maintain high‑quality digital assets.
• Develop and execute digital campaigns that support business objectives, monitoring performance and ROI.
• Gather and organise content from partners, investors and community stakeholders for publication.
• Implement a public‑opinion early‑warning system, classify negative information and coordinate digital response solutions.
• Allocate and track digital marketing budgets by platform and content type, ensuring effective spend.
• Analyse data‑driven insights to optimise communication strategies and improve ROI.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in digital or social media operations, preferably within mining or resource sectors.
• Proficiency in English content creation and editing; additional local language skills are a plus.
• Strong understanding of corporate responsibility and stakeholder engagement.
