Field Support Specialist (Freelance / Dispatch)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Freelance Field Support Specialist to deliver on‑site IT assistance when full‑time engineers are unavailable or when dispatch activities require immediate attention. This role involves hands‑on support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and meeting‑room technology across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software according to organizational standards.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities for IT assets.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including break‑fix support.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for repairs, replacements, and escalations.
• Manage IT inventory, asset tracking, and documentation.
• Create system images for laptops and desktops.
• Set up and troubleshoot printers and network printers.
• Assist with conference‑room AV setup and meeting‑room technologies.
• Deliver high‑touch VIP/end‑user support.
• Support Office 365 issues and general user account problems.
• Install and troubleshoot compliance/security software.
• Provide support for both Windows and Mac devices.
• Adhere to Service Level Agreements and document incidents.
• Participate in after‑hours activities, events, and recurring meetings as needed.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
• Good organizational skills for inventory and vendor coordination.
• Willingness to support after‑hours and event‑based tasks.
