General Assistant – Retail Store (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking an energetic and reliable General Assistant to join its store team. You will support daily retail operations by keeping the store clean, stocked, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily cleanliness of kitchen, toilets and store areas to OHASA standards.
• Unpack deliveries, stock shelves, conduct stock counts, display promotional material and report stock loss or damage.
• Provide excellent customer service, assist with conflict resolution and exceed expectations.
• Prioritise workloads, build positive workplace relationships and drive personal skill development.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4).
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a general worker.
• Understanding of OHASA legislation, retail customer service best practices and store policies.
