Information Technology Technician

About the role

The IT Technician provides first‑ and second‑line support for Sunbet Botswana’s technology environment, ensuring continuous availability, security and performance of systems that power online betting, retail operations and corporate functions. The role combines hands‑on hardware maintenance, network administration and cybersecurity duties to keep business‑critical services running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Administer user accounts and support Microsoft 365 applications.
• Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN and related networking equipment, including routers, switches and firewalls.
• Support betting terminals, POS devices, self‑service kiosks and branch connectivity.
• Implement endpoint security controls, apply OS updates, security patches and assist with vulnerability remediation.
• Provide first‑ and second‑line help‑desk support, logging and resolving incidents within SLA.
• Maintain IT asset registers, documentation and coordinate with external vendors.
