Primary School Principal

About the role

Enko Botho, part of Enko Education’s pan‑African network of international schools, is looking for a dynamic Primary School Principal to lead its primary school in Botswana. The role will shape curriculum, champion arts education, and ensure a safe, nurturing, and joyful learning environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive primary curriculum that includes robust arts education and promotes holistic student development.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate teaching staff to deliver high‑quality, engaging instruction.
• Oversee planning and delivery of visual arts, music, drama and other creative programmes.
• Recruit, train, and assess teachers and support staff while fostering a collaborative work culture.
• Ensure student welfare, address behavioural issues, and maintain a respectful school climate.
• Maintain accurate attendance and performance records, prepare reports, manage budgets and allocate resources.
• Build strong relationships with parents, guardians and the wider community, promoting events and exhibitions.
• Ensure compliance with educational standards, policies and regulations across all school operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in primary education leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, arts education and student assessment.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire, lead and develop a diverse team of educators.
