Sales & Marketing Intern

About the role

Amen Herbals, a Botswana indigenous-botanical wellness company producing teas, wellness shots, oils and salves, is looking for a Sales & Marketing Intern. You will help turn customer interest into sales, build relationships with potential buyers and strengthen marketing and customer follow-up systems. The internship is unpaid, with possible commission on eligible sales subject to written terms.

Key responsibilities

• Sales and business development: engage prospective and existing customers, identify retail stockists, distributors and corporate buyers, support outreach, lead generation, follow-ups and order coordination, and maintain customer records and lead tracking.
• Marketing and customer engagement: support promotions, campaigns and social media, help prepare marketing materials and sales presentations, gather customer feedback, and assist with product demonstrations, activations and markets.
• Reporting and administration: keep accurate sales and interaction records, prepare simple weekly reports on outreach, leads, sales and campaign results, and follow up on assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Students seeking practical experience or recent graduates interested in sales, marketing or entrepreneurship.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and an interest in sales, marketing, customer service or business development.
• Initiative, reliability, organisation and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work on-site in Pilane and take part in customer-facing activities.
• Retail, sales, social media marketing or customer service experience is an advantage but not essential.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets and online research.
