Senior Diamond Consultant (2 Year Contract)

About the role

The Senior Diamond Consultant will oversee the final sign‑off of all DBGSS selling assortments, ensuring product integrity, brand protection and revenue continuity. This two‑year contract position works within the Product Delivery team, supporting the end‑to‑end diamond pipeline from arrival through export.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and sign off on all stock and new intake selling assortments before physical aggregation.
• Approve resorted product returns and conduct ad‑hoc diamond valuations.
• Gather producer import price data via the Supply Chain Manager to inform final selling valuations.
• Collaborate with Diamond Consultants and Key Account Managers to make effective pricing decisions.
• Maintain strong relationships with Sightholders, Diamond Brokers and government representatives in Botswana and Namibia.
• Value and agree on the entire Debswana production (+10.8 carats) with Botswana Government Valuators per the Sales Agreement.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s/Honours) in Business, Operations Management or a related technical discipline, or equivalent extensive experience in rough diamond sorting, evaluation, buying and selling.
• Proven senior‑level experience in diamond product delivery meeting DBGSS standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross‑functional teams and manage high‑level customer relationships.
• Experience engaging external stakeholders and influencing strategic growth.
