About the role
We are looking for a Senior React Engineer to join a Formula 1 team’s Aerodynamics department. You will help modernise a suite of desktop tools into a web‑based platform built with React and TypeScript, enabling aerodynamicists to analyse CFD, wind‑tunnel data and large engineering datasets in real time.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement front‑end architecture for data‑intensive engineering applications.
- Collaborate directly with aerodynamicists to translate complex scientific problems into intuitive user interfaces.
- Modernise legacy desktop applications by rebuilding them as responsive React/TypeScript web apps.
- Establish best practices for code quality, performance optimisation, and UI/UX consistency.
- Iterate quickly in a fast‑paced environment where priorities can shift rapidly.
Required profile
- Strong commercial experience developing with React and TypeScript.
- Proven ability to build complex, data‑heavy web applications.
- Comfort working closely with highly technical users and turning domain knowledge into software solutions.
- Interest in engineering, science or high‑performance technology.
