About the role
The Storeperson is responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, storage and distribution of equipment and materials within a warehouse environment. This role ensures that all logistics processes align with procurement contracts and that goods are handled safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor logistics and transportation trends and develop storage plans in line with procurement contract requirements.
- Organise a dedicated unpacking inspection team to verify equipment and materials before they enter storage.
- Execute storage procedures once all documentation, supporting records and inspection reports are complete and conditions are met.
- Distribute equipment and materials according to approved reservation forms, following delivery and hand‑over protocols.
- Issue daily goods receipt and issue work orders to relevant personnel.
- Coordinate warehouse labourers and drivers to perform loading and unloading operations.
Required profile
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Information Resource Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a logistics, supply chain or warehouse environment.
- Formal training in logistics management, supply chain management, warehouse management or related disciplines.
