Territory Sales – Field Service Account Executive

About the role

We are seeking a Territory Sales – Field Service Account Executive to drive growth for Cummins’ Parts and Aftermarket division in Gaborone, Botswana. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and delivering tailored Cummins solutions across key industries such as mining, industrial and commercial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, research and convert new sales opportunities within the assigned territory and market segments.
• Develop and execute structured account plans to maximise revenue from high‑potential prospects.
• Build and maintain deep customer relationships to understand needs, business models and decision‑making processes.
• Position Cummins solutions by aligning customer priorities with value‑driven offerings and articulating competitive advantages.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets through disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting and adherence to the Cummins Sales Process.
• Respond promptly to customer concerns, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
• Support collections, manage receivables and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve overdue accounts.
• Work cross‑functionally with inventory, service and delivery teams while maintaining accurate CRM reporting and sales tracking.

Required profile

• Proven sales and relationship‑management experience, preferably in industrial, mining, automotive or power‑solutions environments.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities with both operational teams and key decision‑makers.
• Deep understanding of the Botswana market and its major industries.
• Ability to plan strategically, monitor progress and adapt to changing customer needs.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, Marketing or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools for data entry, pipeline management and reporting.
