Workday Finance Consultant – Enterprise Applications

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Workday Finance Consultant to join our enterprise applications team. You will help deliver, optimise and continuously improve a large‑scale Workday Financial Management environment while supporting business transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional expertise across Workday Financial Management modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Fixed Assets, Projects, Financial Reporting).
• Configure, support and optimise Workday Financials solutions.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests and system issues.
• Manage ticket queues and prioritise support requests within SLA‑driven environments.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement long‑term solutions for recurring issues.
• Gather and analyse business requirements, facilitate workshops and translate them into functional designs.
• Produce high‑quality functional documentation, change requests and support testing activities (system, integration, UAT).
• Collaborate with technical teams, integration specialists and third‑party partners.
• Support release management, enhancements and transition into operational support.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Workday Financial Management implementation, configuration or support.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end finance processes.
• Experience gathering requirements, performing business analysis and creating functional designs.
• Familiarity with incident management and ITSM processes.
• Experience working in Agile, SAFe or hybrid delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
