Client Partner – Retainer Sales Lead

About the role

Data Sentinels is seeking a Client Partner to drive retainer‑based sales in Botswana. You will own the full sales cycle – from pipeline generation to closing agreements – and work closely with the CEO on proposals and deal negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and qualify leads by identifying senior decision‑makers at organisations that match our client profile.
• Conduct discovery conversations that uncover transformation challenges and align them with our retainer offering.
• Coordinate proposal development, brief the CEO on opportunities, and shepherd deals from proposal to signature.
• Lead negotiations, contract discussions and secure signed retainer agreements.
• Maintain a clean, up‑to‑date CRM pipeline with accurate stage, value and next‑action information.
• Provide market intelligence on pricing, competition and client needs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of B2B sales experience in Botswana, selling professional services, enterprise software or consulting.
• Established network of GMs, CEOs, Heads of Operations or Transformation.
• Proactive cold‑calling ability and comfort engaging senior executives without relying on marketing leads.
• Strong written communication in English for WhatsApp, email and LinkedIn outreach.
• Own transport for client visits in Gaborone and surrounding areas.

Required skills

• Ability to discuss digital transformation, AI and operational improvement at a strategic level.
• Disciplined activity tracking – calls, visits and follow‑ups.
