Network Support Engineer – Botswana

About the role

We are looking for a Network Support Engineer to maintain and support our organization’s network infrastructure in Botswana. You will ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of network services while providing first‑ and second‑level assistance to resolve incidents and service requests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first and second‑level support for network‑related incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing issues.
• Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance, respond to alerts or outages, and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve complex problems.
• Assist with network maintenance, upgrades, and implementation projects.
• Communicate status and resolution timelines to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in network support or a similar role.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with Cisco or comparable networking equipment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory is advantageous.
