School Nurse – Full-time

About the role

Enko Botho is seeking a full‑time, experienced school nurse to join its network of international schools. The role focuses on promoting student health, supporting academic success, and acting as a vital link between the school community and health care providers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the school health services program and deliver direct nursing care.
• Provide health education to students, staff, and parents, encouraging active participation in personal health.
• Support the whole child’s social and emotional wellbeing, fostering a safe and engaging school climate.
• Identify health and safety concerns within the school environment and promote a nurturing setting.
• Offer health counselling, assess mental‑health needs, intervene when necessary, and refer students to appropriate services.
• Connect families with school staff, community health providers, and social services to address health and social stressors.
• Promote employee wellness through health education, counselling, and healthy‑living initiatives for school staff.

Required profile

• Relevant nursing qualification with at least two years of professional experience.
• Commitment to child safeguarding and willingness to undergo police clearance and reference checks.
• Strong communication skills to engage students, families, staff, and external health providers.
• Preferably a Botswana citizen, though all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
