Senior Finance Supervisor – Lending Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Supervisor to become the financial and operational backbone of Khana Capital, a supply‑chain financing company based in Gaborone. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will own the loan‑book, enforce discipline, and ensure rigorous cash, credit and policy management.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce internal policies and operating standards across Khana Capital and Swiftly Finance, translating checklists into daily habits and correcting slippage promptly.
• Own the loan book: analyse portfolio risk, age facilities, calculate realised vs nominal yield, and produce monthly loan‑book reports highlighting growth, risk concentration, collections and yield trends.
• Manage cash and credit controls, oversee cash position, perform bank reconciliations, approve payments and segregate duties in the credit cycle.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, balance‑sheet reconciliations, statutory returns for NBFIRA and other regulators, and maintain audit‑ready books.
• Coordinate with the field team on debtor follow‑up, align credit decisions with collection strategies, and generate collection performance reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a credit or lending function within a bank, micro‑finance institution or similar environment.
• Hands‑on experience ageing loan books, calculating loss provisions and understanding realised yield.
• Strong analytical skills to assess portfolio risk and identify early warning signs.
• Ability to enforce operational discipline and work closely with senior management.
