Farmer Facilitation Associate – Community Liaison (2 positions)

About the role

Conservation International is seeking two Farmer Facilitation Associates to support the Ecosystem‑Based Adaptation and Mitigation project in Botswana. Based in Semolale, the role focuses on linking farmers and communities with project activities, ensuring effective pasture and livestock management, and maintaining project equipment across designated clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Landscape Manager and Farmer Facilitation Lead to build and sustain relationships with participating farmers and communities.
• Assist the Area Manager in supervising Farmer Facilitation Teams, guiding pasture and livestock management, and overseeing monitoring and evaluation tasks.
• Manage, maintain, and coordinate repairs for all project operational equipment located in villages and field sites.
• Support the Landscape Manager in organizing site visits, handling logistics, preparing documentation, and facilitating smooth interactions between project staff and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience working directly with farmers, pastoralists, or rural communities.
• Ability to follow project guidelines, supervise field activities, and ensure compliance with monitoring and reporting standards.
• Strong organizational skills for equipment upkeep and logistical coordination.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the project areas and work on‑site.
