Logistics Supervisor

About the role

The Logistics Supervisor will lead and optimise inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods for a mining project. This role requires full ownership of customs compliance, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation, off‑site warehousing and material handling for local and international shipments.
• Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, import/export laws and all statutory requirements.
• Liaise with clearing agents, freight forwarders and government bodies to secure efficient customs clearance.
• Monitor shipment schedules, prevent delays and expedite priority consignments.
• Prepare, review and maintain shipping documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, import permits and waybills.
• Manage bonded warehousing processes, record‑keeping and reporting.
• Provide expert advice on customs duties, tariffs, HS codes and trade agreements.
• Conduct audits of logistics and customs processes, driving continuous improvement and cost optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Logistics, International Trade or a related field.
• 10‑15 years of international logistics and customs experience, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
• Proven track record managing imports, exports, bonded warehousing and freight forwarder relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise logistics costs and improve processes.
• Experience training staff on customs procedures and international shipping practices.
