Electrical Foreman – Supervision of Electrical Installations

About the role

The Electrical Foreman leads the installation, alteration, addition and repair of electrical systems on commercial and industrial projects. Reporting to the Superintendent or Field Operations Manager, the role ensures work is completed safely, on schedule and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise helpers, electricians, leadmen and area foremen on assigned jobs.
• Plan and lay out work in advance according to schedules, plans and specifications.
• Create short‑term interval (look‑ahead) schedules and pre‑task plans.
• Maintain required project files, forms and documents.
• Track and submit daily time‑sheets for each project.
• Attend job meetings and coordinate with other trades and owner representatives.
• Evaluate the abilities and work ethic of subordinates.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
• Ability to read and write English effectively.
• Local Journeyman Card or NEC State License (preferred, not required).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Proficiency with hand tools (electric/battery‑operated and manual such as conduit benders, knockout cutters).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of the current National Electrical Code.
