Experienced Registered Nurse – PICU & Paeds (2 positions)

About the role

Lenmed is seeking two experienced Registered Nurses to join the PICU and Paediatric Unit at Bokamoso Private Hospital in Mmopane, Botswana. The role involves delivering direct and indirect nursing care, assessing, planning and supervising patient treatment to meet individual needs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
• Continuously assess and monitor patient progress, identifying any sudden or subtle changes in condition.
• Provide care for acutely and chronically ill patients, often working long hours.
• Calculate and administer medications safely and according to protocol.
• Stay updated with current research and development activities within the organization.
• Uphold patient rights and deliver care with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding treatment and discharge.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an approved institution.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in PICU or Paediatric settings.
• Valid Nursing Practising Licence issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Botswana.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
