Managing Director

About the role

G4S is looking for a dynamic Managing Director to lead its Botswana operations. Reporting to the Regional President, Africa, the role is responsible for setting strategic direction and ensuring the profitability of the country business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and develop growth strategies to secure long‑term profitability.
• Plan, prepare and monitor the business plan and budget, aligning actual results with forecasts.
• Drive integrated security solutions, lead large bids and tenders, and identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain strong client relationships, oversee customer service levels and client retention.
• Communicate key issues to shareholders and ensure transparent reporting.
• Foster staff morale and integrity through close interaction with managers.
• Participate in the design, development and monitoring of safety plans.

Required profile

• Relevant business qualification; postgraduate or master’s degree is advantageous.
• 5‑7+ years of senior management experience in business or operations, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Board‑level experience and commercial background are highly beneficial.
• Strong ethical standards and ability to adapt to rapid changes.
