Program Execution Consultant – Digital Payments

About the role

The Program Execution Consultant – Digital Payments will be embedded in the Gaborone office to support the Strategic Growth Program, a cross‑market initiative aimed at accelerating credit‑card acquisition and boosting spend across the bank’s African operations. Acting as the local execution hub, you will translate central strategy into day‑to‑day actions that drive portfolio performance and campaign success.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all program activities in Botswana.
• Coordinate and facilitate local workshops, working sessions and review meetings with Marketing, Cards, Risk and Operations teams.
• Maintain the local activity tracker, flag risks and escalate blockers to the central PMO with recommended solutions.
• Collect market data and provide contextual intelligence to enrich performance analysis.
• Support stakeholder engagements to validate benchmarking findings.
• Integrate local inputs into spend‑activation campaign design, monitor performance and report results to the PMO.
• Deliver regular status updates, field reports and post‑campaign reviews.
• Document market insights, execution learnings and observations for program review.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in banking or financial services.
• Background in consulting or managing multi‑workstream programs.
• Experience with credit‑card portfolio management, spend‑activation campaigns or customer‑lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of regional financial services and retail payments landscape.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑stakeholder relationships in a matrix environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, IT or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficient PowerPoint for creating presentations and status decks.
