Project Engineer – Construction & Plumbing

About the role

The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating logistics, tracking progress, and ensuring quality and compliance across plumbing and construction projects. Working closely with project managers and field teams, you will support documentation, reporting, scheduling, and technical coordination to help deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain logistics and tracking systems for orders, deliveries, tools, and equipment rentals.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and scope of work to determine project costs.
• Enter and monitor data on labor, subcontractor, equipment rental, and material costs against estimates.
• Assist with employee security clearances and compliance requirements.
• Review, process, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and drawings.
• Maintain testing logs, filing systems, and productivity reports.
• Support quality assurance and compliance checks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates to contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with commissioning, pre‑functional checklists, and system start‑ups.
• Collaborate with senior managers, field supervisors, and leadership on schedules, reports, and forecasting.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in project engineering, construction, or plumbing.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software.
• Advanced skills in MS Office.
