QA/QC Technician

About the role

The QA/QC Technician ensures that electrical construction projects meet the highest quality, safety, and performance standards. Working on‑site, you will collaborate with field crews, project managers, and general contractors to verify that installations align with company and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project handoff meetings to understand scope, QA/QC expectations, and inspection schedules.
• Conduct and document inspections of underground work, temporary power, equipment, switchboards, and panelboards using the QuickBase QA/QC App.
• Create and manage non‑conformance reports for damaged or deficient equipment.
• Verify torque and megger testing documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify punch‑list items during wall and overhead inspections and confirm their resolution.
• Coordinate joint inspections with General Contractors’ QA/QC teams.
• Support project close‑out documentation and ensure all records are complete.
• Travel to active job sites, including out‑of‑town locations, as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical construction, preferably at foreman or superintendent level.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce accurate reports.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project teams and maintain a solutions‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using the QuickBase QA/QC application.
• Torque verification procedures.
• Megger testing and documentation.
