Senior Project Manager – Construction Director

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to direct the execution of commercial and industrial plumbing projects. The Director of Construction will oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage Project Executives, Project Managers, Senior Project Assistants and construction teams.
• Translate corporate goals into departmental priorities, performance standards and clear expectations.
• Mentor and develop project management staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee project lifecycle from turnover to close‑out, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, procurement and risk are managed.
• Monitor schedule adherence, labor productivity, material procurement, change orders and close‑out deliverables.
• Remove operational obstacles and coordinate with Field Operations, Superintendents, Pre‑Fabrication, VDC, Purchasing, Safety and Accounting.
• Maintain financial accountability for project profitability, reviewing budgets and forecasts.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in construction, preferably within commercial and industrial plumbing.
• Strong ability to mentor teams, drive performance and manage complex projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
