SHE Trainer – Safety, Health & Environment

About the role

The SHE Trainer is responsible for designing, coordinating and delivering safety, health, environmental and community awareness training for employees, contractors and visitors. This role ensures that the workforce has the competence required to work safely, protect the environment and meet regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety, health, environmental and community awareness training sessions.
• Facilitate inductions for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Assess training needs, develop training plans and create training materials.
• Maintain workforce competence through coaching, practical assessments and competency evaluations.
• Perform competency assessments, record results and manage competency matrices.
• Prepare training resources in advance and ensure adherence to Training Delivery Plans.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate training in line with departmental skill matrices and specialization requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related field.
• Accredited Trainer/Facilitator qualification (e.g., Train‑the‑Trainer, Assessor or Moderator certification).
• Minimum 8 years of SHE experience in mining or heavy industry, with at least 5 years as a trainer.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse, multinational audiences.
