Techxpert – Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technician to support the maintenance and efficiency of our technical systems. The role will involve hands‑on work with IT hardware, software installations and network components to help improve productivity across Pepkor Lifestyle stores.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair IT hardware components, ensuring optimal performance.
• Perform software installations and updates on a variety of devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware and network issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Support internal and external networking activities and documentation.
• Apply company policies, processes and systems in daily operations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to drive productivity improvements.

Required profile

• Matriculation certificate.
• COMPTIA A+ certification (Essentials and Core).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage stress, conflict and work under pressure.
• Customer‑centric attitude with a focus on personal development.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of IT hardware components and repair.
• Experience with software installations.
• Networking systems knowledge (advantageous).
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
