Travel Sheetmetal Superintendent – HVAC Projects

About the role

The Travel Sheetmetal Superintendent leads all field operations for ductwork on construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time delivery. This position requires extensive travel to project sites and close coordination with project managers and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee installation of ductwork, ensuring timely delivery and accurate field installation.
• Direct and manage on‑site field personnel, adjusting team size as project needs dictate.
• Supervise subcontractor activities to align with project objectives.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager on schedule creation, monitoring, and adherence.
• Attend mandatory job‑site meetings and communicate updates to all stakeholders.
• Enforce company and job‑site safety procedures, conduct weekly toolbox talks, and maintain MSDS and Haz‑Com compliance.
• Maintain as‑built drawings, equipment inspections, and overall site appearance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Sheetmetal Superintendent on construction projects.
• At least 10 years of hands‑on experience with Sheetmetal (HVAC) systems.
• Strong knowledge of sheetmetal fabrication, installation processes, and industry standards.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project locations.
