Associate Software Engineer

About the role

Cavista Technologies is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Software Engineer to join its agile development team in Botswana. You will work on both new and existing web applications, contributing to high‑volume, public‑facing solutions while learning best practices in modern software development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new web applications using packaged and custom solutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing web applications, ensuring seamless integration with internal systems.
• Participate in building medium to large‑scale, high‑traffic public‑facing applications.
• Deliver new functionality and handle change requests for current applications.
• Perform comprehensive unit and system testing, involving users as needed.
• Create database‑driven web interfaces for real‑time information sharing.
• Develop external web portals that allow users to input and retrieve accurate data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 0‑2 years of software development experience.
• Strong desire to work within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
