Business Development Consultant – Renewable Energy Projects (Botswana)

About the role

TEXOR Energy Solutions, an Indian renewable‑energy developer, is seeking a well‑connected local consultant in Botswana to help originate, partner on, and convert renewable‑energy projects into bankable opportunities. The role is commission‑based and focuses on identifying projects with existing Power Purchase Agreements, grid approvals, or land rights.

Key responsibilities

• Identify local solar, wind, hybrid and battery‑storage project owners, developers, SPVs and PPA holders.
• Introduce TEXOR Energy to credible partners and facilitate discussions with government, utilities, EPC firms and financiers.
• Source opportunities that already have PPAs, grid connection approvals, land permits or feasibility studies.
• Verify the credibility of project owners, approvals and documentation.
• Coordinate meetings, calls and follow‑ups on behalf of TEXOR Energy.
• Provide insights on local business practices, regulatory expectations and partnership structures.
• Help build a pipeline of bankable renewable‑energy projects.

Required profile

• Based in Botswana with strong networks in business and government.
• Experience in renewable energy, power, infrastructure, utilities, government relations or project development.
• Existing contacts with project developers, PPA holders, regulators, utilities, landowners or relevant ministries.
• Ability to filter genuine, bankable projects from non‑serious leads.
• Professional, reliable and capable of handling confidential discussions.
