Business Development Manager – Botswana

About the role

Mamoru is expanding its cutting‑edge financial services across Africa and needs a Business Development Manager to establish and grow its presence in Botswana. You will act as the local face of the company, building relationships with financial institutions and driving the launch of FX trading solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in setting up the local legal entity, opening bank, FX broker, exchange, and payment processor accounts.
• Collaborate with the global operations team to ensure smooth local operations.
• Represent Mamoru locally, cultivating relationships with banks, brokers, exchanges, merchants, and payment processors.
• Develop and launch FX trading services targeting high‑net‑worth, institutional, merchant, and individual clients.
• Monitor market trends, opportunities, risks, and new project ideas within the FX payments space.
• Serve as nominee director of the Botswana entity and manage administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Prior experience in banking or foreign‑exchange environments with solid knowledge of trading products and life‑cycle processes.
• Must be a national of Botswana.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship‑management, and organizational abilities.
• Flexible mindset to adapt to fast‑changing market conditions and new tasks.
• Detail‑oriented, capable of multitasking and handling projects independently.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
