Senior Commercial Lead – Mining & Industrial Markets

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Lead to drive growth across mining and industrial markets in Botswana. The role will focus on building new business, strengthening strategic customer relationships, and leading major commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of mining and industrial opportunities.
• Build long‑term relationships with major customers, contractors and industry stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities in new projects, expansions and existing operations.
• Lead commercial proposals, tenders and contract negotiations.
• Grow and retain strategic customer accounts.
• Collaborate with supply, operations and technical teams to create customer‑focused solutions.
• Monitor market activity, competitor movements and future developments.
• Drive sustainable revenue growth and commercial performance.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Business, Engineering, Mining, Sales or a related discipline.
• 8–10+ years of experience in commercial management, business development or key account management.
• Strong exposure to the Botswana mining and industrial market.
• Experience selling fuels, industrial products, equipment, technical services or related solutions.
• Established relationships within mining or heavy industry are highly advantageous.

• Understanding of pricing, profitability and commercial risk.
