About the role
The Collateral Officer will support Credit Risk controls for complex business entities within Standard Bank Group's BCB and CIB streams. The focus is on post‑credit granting activities, ensuring collateral is appropriate, legally enforceable and properly documented to mitigate risk.
Key responsibilities
- Validate the appropriateness, applicability and enforceability of all collateral supporting credit facilities.
- Confirm that collateral is in legal order, properly housed and documented to secure assets.
Required profile
- First degree in Business, Commerce or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in personal or business banking, preferably with exposure to home loans and lending.
- Experience with banking processes related to collateral documentation is advantageous.
