Collections Strategy Manager

About the role

The Collections Strategy Manager will lead the design and optimisation of data‑driven collections and recovery strategies. Using analytics and predictive modelling, you will improve performance, reduce impairments and enhance the customer experience across the bank’s portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and refine the rules and calculations that segment delinquent accounts.
• Monitor and update collections performance, recommending adjustments to meet short‑term and medium‑term budget targets.
• Develop enhanced collections plans based on risk classification and predictive insights.
• Ensure Management Information (MI) is available, accurate and used to track strategy effectiveness.
• Validate that systems supporting collections are fit for purpose and specify enhancements as needed.
• Identify new collection channels and techniques, such as payment reminders and engagement tools.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, providing coaching and feedback to the team.
• Liaise with risk, operations, compliance and regulatory stakeholders to align strategy execution.
• Manage the strategy sign‑off process and coordinate implementation timelines with the CVM capability team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or Management.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in collections, recoveries or credit risk.
• Ability to translate data insights into actionable strategy.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
