Commercial Estimator / Project Manager

About the role

The Commercial Estimator/Project Manager will prepare accurate cost estimates and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This dual‑role ensures that proposals are financially sound and that projects stay on schedule and within budget, aligning with Kort’s Construction Services’ strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for material, labor, equipment, and subcontractors using proposals, blueprints, and specifications.
• Attend pre‑bid meetings, conduct site visits, and perform quantity take‑offs.
• Develop and review subcontractor scopes and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Plan project scope, resources, and budgets; create and maintain detailed schedules.
• Monitor project progress, costs, and performance; report status to senior management.
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers, assigning tasks and tracking deliverables.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, owners, and subcontractors on cost adjustments.

• Effective communication with crew, foremen, management, and office staff.
• Problem‑solving mindset and capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical capability to perform vehicle duties, lift heavy equipment, and work in all weather conditions.
