Construction Engineer – Lead Projects & Design

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Engineer to lead the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure projects are cost‑effective, structurally sound, and delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the planning and design stages of construction projects.
• Provide technical expertise for project drawings and designs.
• Perform cost calculations and prepare financial projections.
• Prepare work schedules in collaboration with the project manager.
• Liaise between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Oversee construction engineering processes and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Conduct regular material and procedure tests.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Document processes and maintain detailed construction logs.
• Present progress updates to clients and senior managers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency with construction management software (e.g., BuildSmart, Smartsheet).
• In‑depth knowledge of construction industry regulations.
• Strong leadership, project management, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in multicultural and challenging environments.
• Driver’s license, First Aid & CPR certification.
